Wingmaster is licensed by the California Department of Fish and Game and the US Department of Fish and Wildlife Services. Our raptor propagation license ensures that all our birds are domestically raised and trained for the exclusive purpose of pest bird abatement.
Our highly trained falconers, birds and partner hazing canines, work in trusting concert to place pest birds in a position of double jeopardy. Enhanced pressure quickly moves pest birds away from the treatment site to more suitable areas.
Falcons and hawks are naturally intuitive birds, and they can easily identify the "alpha bird" in a flock of pest birds. By pestering the alpha member, our expertly trained raptors immediately create results and the movement of pest flocks, modifying their behavior and encouraging flock dispersal and the desertion of the area.
Starlings are notorious pest birds costing farming hundreds of millions in crop damage and loss per year. The presence of our falcons mitigates that loss by discouraging the starlings from lingering in the crop growth area. Buds and berries are protected and crop yields and quality dramatically increase. Some examples of crops where falconry has been found most effective are:
Table and Wine Grapes
